Can BES and Symantec Anti Virus live on the same server?

I have a W2K3 server with BES installed.  I planned on using this server as an application server, so I then went to install SAV on the same server, with them sharing the free SQL that the BES installed (i know next to nothing about SQL).  The install failed when I got to the reporting server installation part in SAV.  I keep getting "an error occured when trying to access the database"  I only used one password with both the besadmin account and SAV, so I am pretty sure i have it right.  Also, there is no control panel for SQL anywhere so I have no idea how to confirm the passwords anyways.

You need to check the Symantec site on how to do a shared install with an existing SQL ( MSDE ) server.
You have to create a new instance of MDSE usually

I hope this helps !

my comments got eaten!  Anyway, I resolved this by downloading and installing the SQL manager, which I had thought would be packaged with the SAV install, but was not.
