apt-get install mysql-server  w/o the GUI setup?

Just curious if there is a way to install mysql-server with apt without doing the GUI setup.  Can you pass flags for the root password?  I have this running in a script to set up a server and the gui is causing it to halt

Figured it out:
export DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive
apt-get install mysql
