Hello,

Has anyone been using the Cisco ACE Load Balancer - Application Control Engine?

I would like to know if it's possible to implement a solution where One ServerFarm communicates with the other ServerFarm - would it need a proxy IP or are there other similar features.

If so, how would we implement that?

Would it be mandatory to use a form of Proxy IP (as compared with a similar solution with the Nortel Alteon Load Balancers)?

I do not believe there is a problem as long as they are on seperate interfaces. If you are using one arm mode or two arm mode that needs to forward traffic back out the same interface, then you may have a problem.

Have you seen this doc?

In the world of WAN, QoS is a pretty important topic for most, if not all, networks. Some WAN technologies have QoS mechanisms built in, but others, such as some L2 WAN's, don't have QoS control in the provider cloud.
