I'm in the process of updating our external mailing lists in our new Exchange install, and I need to export a list of about 1300 emails from one of our listservs.  The web-interface in Mailman 2.1.8 doesn't seem to offer that feature, or else maybe i'm missing it.  Anyone know how to do this?  And/or know a better process for migrating these emails into an exchange server?  I've read the user and administrator documentation and everything about installing it, I'm pretty sure our install is configured using Sendmail if that helps at all.  I've also tried logging into our webserver where Mailman is installed via Putty and tried a few command lines to search for any db files in the install directory and no luck.  The OS is linux, fedora i think.

nevermind, i just figured it out using Putty.  There is a command in the /usr/lib/mailman/bin folder that is listed as "list_members"  I used that command in conjunction with ">" to output a filename in my home directory.  Now im going to login using Filezilla and download all the txt files i need.  I should be able to work with the .txt files to export them to anything else.

./list_members Discounts > /home/shahryar/discounts_txt

Where "Discounts" is the name of my list and "discounts_txt" is the name of the output file.  How simple is that! :D

a list of commands can be found at http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/site.html
