Outlook - Adding new contacts

I have a user that will add a new contact. He will then send out a new e-mail message. He will receive a message that the contact in not a contact. Then his e-mail message will crash.

The error is similar to this:
This is not a outlook contact

Sorry I do not have anymore info. I am trying to reach the user to get a screen shot and the exact error. He is a VP and I am trying not to upset him. Any insight would be great!!!!

IF the user is creating the contact in a secondary PST file this error can occur. Verify his contact is in the primary PST file for the profile.
