Word Perfect 12 won't start
I needed to clone the hard on a Windows XP pro workgroup workstation. Everything seems to work OK except Word Perfect 12. I uninstalled, and reinstalled WP, but this didn't help. Word Perfect 12 will not start. It load in the Task manager for a second or two then quits.
I also noticed that when I run MS config, I get an error when attempting to remove a start up item that indicates that I don't have administrative rights yet I am logged in as administrator. Not sure if these are related

Is this the windows xp Home edition? The administrator problem I have seen in Home edition before.

No. It's XP pro.
What item are you trying to remove from startup, have you tried to do it manually?
This is a cloned machine, did you change the SID when you did it?

I've run into this same issue. Just migrated a terminal server into vmware esxi 4.1 and can't get word perfect working for the life of me.
we have custom macros that don't run on X3, so I'm trying to avoid an upgrade. was there any further insight into this? what version did you update to?

I'd still like to get a solution to this problem. I, too cloned my old hard drive to a new one, and now WordPerfect 12 won't launch. Even if I uninstall and reinstall it. Any ideas? I'm using XP Home Edition.
