I'm working in a new clients office that has a Dell KVM switch attached to a Dell rackmount keyboard/monitor setup.<br />

There are no controls on he KVM, an I have no idea which keyboard controls will activate or allow access to the KVM interface -- or switch to other desktops that are connected.<br />

I've tried some standard things: &nbsp;(double Scroll lock, double control, etc.) but I'm having no luck.<br />

I can't determine the model number, but it is an older one. &nbsp;Nothing fancy, just 16 ports with VGA and PS2 cables.<br />

Dell rackmount KVM keyboard controls

A peripheral device is defined as a computer device, such as a keyboard or printer, that is not part of the essential computer (i.e., the memory and microprocessor). These auxiliary devices are intended to be connected to the computer and used in conjunction with it. Examples of external peripherals include mouse, keyboard, printer, monitor, external Zip drive or scanner, while internal peripherals include CD-ROM drive, CD-R drive or internal modem. Today's new devices, such as tablets, smartphones and wearable computing devices are considered peripherals as they can be connected and used on a computer system. The difference, however, is that these devices can run independently of the computer system.

Peripherals

A miscellany is defined as a "collection of various pieces of writing by different authors", but it has come to mean something "Of items gathered or considered together of various types or from different sources" or "a collection or group composed of members or elements of different kinds". The word "miscellaneous" comes from the Latin word "miscere", meaning "to mix." You might have heard the expression "a mixed bag," which applies when you don't quite know what you're going to get. More commonly, a miscellaneous group is made up of an odd group of things that don't fit anywhere else.
