Outlook 2003 Hanging opening additional mailbox

I have a problem when trying to open an additional mailbox using Outlook 2003.  The server is SBS 2003 and I can open up other additional mailboxes but one in particular does not want to open from 2 laptops.

The additional mailbox will open on other computers under different user accounts but not on the laptop.  All passwords have been reset on both the laptop and the server, but the mailbox just sits there as soon as you add it via Tools, Email Accounts ..... Advanced, Add.

I have checked the exchange database for errors and none are present, so it appears to be an issue with the laptops.

Any ideas - it has got me stumped.

As it is opening in other machines, I would say that it is down to the laptop.

Does it have all Windows and Outlook service packs /updates?

Does it happen for only one user, when he tries to open another mailbox? Or, is it like anyone using that laptop can't add another mailbox?

If it is the first, create a new profile for him.

I have tried setting up other users on the laptop and adding the additional mailbox and still the same problem.  It does seem to be laptop related, but I cannot work out why.

Have removed and reinstalled Office and no difference.

This could of been done...but any Outlook opening issues I have always set it to safemode to see if there is any difference.    Add-ins always do odd things...

Run -->  type Outlook /safe

It is not an issue opening Outlook as such - just when clicking on the additional mailbox.

Outlook opens up fine with or without the additional mailbox, it is just when you try to view the contents of the additional mailbox.

Sorry I should of said when I have any type of Outlook issues...I use the safemode switch.

Create a new desktop profile then before migrating anything with a clean profile setup Outlook see if it resolves it.

We have logged in to the laptop as a new user (new profile) and setup Outlook and the problem still happens.

I resolved this problem by renaming the account under Active Directory Users and Computers.  Once changed from info to newinfo, the account opened up on the laptops without so much as a hesitation!
