A Dell PowerEdge 2650 server keeps freezing. its no longer under warranty or support from dell. It would freeze after some time with keyboard and and mouse losing control. The server is running Openfire (XMPP), Wss 3.0, WSUS 3.0 and Symantec Sharepoint Manager.

The server is running RAID with 5 Hard Drives

On the startup it gives a following error message: The following containers have missing or rebuilding members  and are degraded: Container#0-RAID-5

One of the Hard Drives fails from time to time.

It sounds as if you have a disk that is failing.
There is a posting here within EE concerning your error message with an accepted answer. I hope this helps.

if 1 disk in a raid with 5 hard drives is failing, would that cause the server to freeze?
