Hi Video experts,

I am trying to make a Karaoke DVD for a friend's wedding, and I am hoping to find a good software that would do the captions high-lights.  I edited a wedding video with a backup music he wants.... but then the software that I found could only display text captioning (using TMPG Enc Authoring Works 4)... while I tried to make the effects of a real Karaoke clip.  Does anyone know any programs that I could try?  thanks very much.

This is how I wish the effect can be like:  (sorry, I found a chinese youtube file, as this is the quickest i could found)

Thanks for you suggestion:

OS Platform:  windows xp professional
Application:  Video Editing (not sure as what could be a good choice)
Someone told me that Adobe CS4 Premiere could do the karaoke effect, but it's awfully expensive to purchase it, just to make a wedding DVD for a onetime use... I think asking a wedding agent to do it may even be a better option...

Thanks fredshovel, I've check this application previously, but I already had a video with background music created, now trying to add some subtitles as the video is played... the powerkaraoke doesn't seem to do that though.  but thanks anyway

I finally got on hold a chinese program that would do the karaoke effect, it is called "KBuilder".

what you do is inport a song, then type in the lyrics.... when you click the "play button" on the media player (which comes along with the KBuilder), hit space as each word is sung... then it'll automaticaly generate a .ksc file.

2nd part is to use another download application called "KAJ converter".  This will convert the .ksc file into .kaj file, which then could be inport into the video editing software (i used corel's video studio)

In corel's video studio... import the Video, Audio, and on the 2nd video, input the .kaj file... alien them to start at the same time, and it worked out.  Whew... spent a few days on this project.... so glad that the finishing product was acceptable!  Well, for a amature video editor, I am pretty have with the result, although I heard that Adobe's Premiere & After Effect could do a much better job.  I didn't have the time and money to work this out.  but if any experts knows how to use the ADBOE to make Karaoke Text, i'll glad to learn more about it. =)
