I recently took over a position and my predecessor at some point in time received this bluecat adonis 1000 device. Never set it up configured it or kept any documentation to go with it. I have been trying to set it up the only problem is it is running OS 4.1. Very limited help/documentation from Adonis. I was wondering if anyone out there has the Installation Guide for it or even the installation guide for a newer Adonis product this way I can kind of see the steps necessary to do what I need to do even if it is not in the same exact place.

Thanks for your help.

You should be able to find the Adonis manual in the directory that you installed the Adonis Management Console.  If you need to download a copy of the Adonis Management Console, you can from our website: http://www.bluecatnetworks.com/adonis/install/.

Hopefully that should get you the docs that you need to move forward.  If you have any further questions, you can contact our Technical Support department.  Details can be found at: http://www.bluecatnetworks.com/clientsupport.

Is that the only documentation that is provided for you when trying to set one of these devices up? I am kind of looking for a howto or a walkthrough. I would really like to set this one up and get it working so I can rationalize the purchasing of a new one if it does it's job.

Thanks,
James

We have evaluation guides, but for our later versions of product, but not for the v4.1.  It might be best if you tried to call into our Technical Support department.  If you are under support, then they can help you to set up and upgrade your system to a version that would be relevant for the evaluation (walk through) guides.

Cheers,
Branko
