Hello Experts,
I am opening a .sln file in VS2008 and running that. The error thrown reads : "A project with an output type of class library cannot be started directly.  In order to debug this project add an executable project to this solution which references the library project. Set the executable project as the startup project."

Help me!!

Your opening a solution with a class library project. That means when you run the project, it tries to launch a dll instead of exe, and that's why you are getting this error.

dlls are designed to be used by exes and cannot run by them selves. Look for another project in your solution in the solution explorer, right click on it and select 'Set as startup project'.

If there is no other project that can be run, then you have to add your own project , add a reference in ti to the class library and write code to use the class library.
