Can BackupExec 12.5 do a redirected restore of a system state?

We are trying to do a complete restore of a server to a physically different server.  I can not find the procedues for this or know if it is possible.  I know tha Backup Exec used to not be able to do a redirected restore of the system state.  Anybody know if this is possible and the steps to do this?

No - you cannot do a redirected restore of the system state. That's why in the disaster recovery procedure at http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/236286.htm it states that "The computer name, Windows directory and the file system (NTFS) must be the same as the previous Windows installation."

The document in the link is for Backup Exec 10 and expired in Aug 2006, is this info still current?

It sure is. Disaster recovery for Windows and the latest versions of Backup Exec is exactly the same.
