I need a way to find a solution to the following problem:

I have a page written in php that contains on the left  side a list of users, and on the right side a list of boxes(rooms). I need a way to drag the user to the boxes on the right and therefore populate the specific room with all that user's information.

I have no idea on how to even start it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Code is also appreciated.

You have a steep learning curve ahead, but Walter Zorn has done a lot of the background work for us.

This page may be a useful learning tool, also:

This appears useful, too:

Presumably, you will also need some AJAX information to put the drag-and-drop results into a data base, but if you master the dragging part first, it will be easier, I think.
