linux- how do in cd into a lock folder using ubuntu

bash: cd: ../asterisk-1.4.22: No such file or directory

from /home/remotedesktop  do

ls ..

you'll see the file doesn't exist.

It's saying there is no file /home/asterisk-1.4.22

not that it's locked
