Roaming Profiles question:

What happens in a network with an AD with roaming profiles enabled, if there is a mix of machines, XP, VIsta, and upcoming 7?

Yes, it is possible to have interoperability between XP/Vista roaming profiles, but it will require some additional folder redirection as Vista cannot read the XP profile.

Look in the section 'Scenario 3: Windows Vista and Windows XP Roaming User Profile Interoperability' it tells you what you need to do.
