Ive got a bit of problem. Im loading external jpgs into a movie which will scale up and down quite dramatically. I need imagesmoothing to be on, but a bug in flash player 8 means this cant be done for dynamically loaded images. Unfortunately i have to use flash 8. Im thinking, I could load all of the images into the fla library and then apply image smoothing from the library porpoerties. Im just not sure how to get xml to traget these images.

Unfortunatly I have to use the xml file and I also have to use flash 8 due to the comiller Im using.

Thnx in advance

Well...  Your basic command will be something like this to attach asset from the library assuming that you have the linkage identifier set up...

some_mc.attachMovie("linkageIdentifier", "newName", depth);

So, if you can get the "linkageIdentifier" out of XML and drop it into that attachMovie() line, that's all you need to do...

Do you currently have a routine that loads XML file and parse/store it into an array in ActionScript???  If not, that probably is the first step you'll need to start working on...
