Hi,
S/MIME: Secure/Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions. S/MIME provides Digital Signatures and Message Encryption, as SMTP is inherently not secure. Please Refer: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa995740(EXCHG.65).aspx
