I have a custom built server...
Asus DSBF-D12 SAS, Xeon E5410, 8gig, SBS 2k8 (which is 64 bit only)
This board uses only the LSI SAS1068 controller. To monitor & manage the raid arrays the LSI megaRAID  storage manager (MSM )is the only tool available. However under SBS2k8 the MSM does not see any arrays. The MOBO comes with v2.62 and I have tried v2.90 neither work. The the MSM launches fine but just simply does not see the server array.

HOWEVER...
I decided to try installing Server 2008 standard (same hardware) and everyhing works fine. Sooo.. the issue is with SBS2k8.

I have disabled the firewall, opened ports  etc nothing seems to work.
At this point the box is scheduled to go into production later this week  & I do not feel terribly good about not being able to monitor or manage the drives.

No teaming for one.

Make sure any additional NICs beyond one are properly disabled.

From there:
http://blog.mpecsinc.ca/2009/04/sbs-2008-setup-checklist-v10.html

Note step 16. The SBS firewall will block the monitoring setup by default.

We use Intel controllers that use LSi hardware and rebranded software.
