I did all that and can see that AJAX has a toolkit which has a tabs control. I downloaded the toolkit and tried to add the dll to the toolbox as suggested in the AJAX video (AjaxControlToolkit.dll) but visual studio said it could not add the dll and that the file was not found (I use vs 2005, so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it because I could not open the sample website either, said it was created in a newer version of vs or something)

Anyone know what I am doing wrong here?

Thanks, Aiden

Yes, VS 2005 was the problem. I needed to use an earlier version of the toolkit and add that. There are some videos on the AJAX website which are usefull.
