Ricoh Aficio 2018D,  trying to scan to email.  I can only get it to scan .tiff and I can't get it to scan .pdf's.  I've tried the following:

Press the User tools/counter yellow button,
by using the up and down arrow buttons select scanner features,
select Send settings;
select File type priority and select Multi-page PDF, OK button

It says 'Accepted', but when I scan 10 pages it seems like it just errors out because it's probably trying to send a .tiff, and the email is too big so it just fails.  any suggestions?

Most email services has a limit to the amount of attachments that can be sent per email. usually around 10-15mb. it usually varies though.
Is it possible that you could try scanning one page at a time through pdf, and emailing it that way. one by one and seeing if the emails go through?

we actually were able to scan 15 pages as a multi-page .pdf and it seemed to go through.  the size was 1MB.  this seems to be an intermittent problem, not sure why this happens.  is there any way to make it default multipage pdf all the time?  sometimes we'll scan 15 pages and then it'll error out by the scanner light turning red.  are there error logs to show what happened.  thanks iamshaked.
