I am displaying an image map. When an area is clicked, I would like to highlight the area in some way. Is there a way to use another partialy transparent image on top? Or can I place a div with text and a transparent background? Please suggest and outline a solution.

Thanks,
Robert

The second approach (image map rollovers) looks a lot more approachable. I will work thru the tutorial. Thanks.
