Outlook doesn't connect to Exchange anymore

Hey guys here's a good one for you. I have a user runnning Outlook 2003. All of a sudden it stopped connecting to the Exchange server for no reason. Exchange server is local. I can ping the Exchange server by ip and fqdn. Outlook simply says it cannot connect and last connection was xxx date and time. I tried going into the repair utility in Outlook and it can NOT find the user account on Exchange. So I deleted the account, deleted the local data file, deleted the profile in Mail (Control Panel) and then restarted from scratch. It worked. Resynched and running fine BUT the next day same thing. It does NOT want to connect for some reason out of the blue. To further test I created another user login on that machine (they are running a peer to peer network for some reason even though there is an SBS server onsite. That will change soon) and on that particular login outlook can connect using the EXACT same user account. I am stumped. Any ideas?

This may sound really out there, but is anything locking up the account?  Maybe a mapped drive that no longer exists?  Policy may re-enable the acocunt after 15 or 30 minutes.

Does the user have outlook open after hours?  Lock the screen when they go home?

Did you create a new profile with the old name?  Or did you give it a new name?
