When I try to run a backup either manually or scheduled, the Windows backup utlity aborts after a timeout error and logs the following report:

Operation: Backup
Active backup destination: File
Media name: "HMSAPP_Backup_Normal.bkf created 5/18/2009 at 4:05 PM"
Volume shadow copy creation: Attempt 1.
Timeout before function completed
Error returned while creating the volume shadow copy:0xffffffff.
Error returned while creating the volume shadow copy:ffffffff
Aborting Backup.

The destination for the backup files is a Buffalo Terastation. We have two other Windows 2003 servers one with almost identical hardware and they are backing up without any problems.
