I've been coding in VB6 for about two years. All I keep hearing is about ".Net". Can someone tell me what comes after VB6 and where I might find more info about it?

Is Visual Basic 2008 the next generation of programming?

After VB6 came VB.NET
Now they've released VB2008 which is just the latest version of VB
Check it out at the MS VB learning centre

I'm aware that the language between VB 6 and VB.NET is drastically different. Is the same true with VB 2005 and VB 2008?
