Folder redirection (my music issue)

Hi.

We  have a server 2003 primary domain controller and we have a server 2008 domain controller. The files will be redirected to another 2008 member server.

We have setup folder redirection and are trying to exclude the my music and my video folders from redirecting to the server. I have been doing some research and found that we have to edit the registry for the music and video folder on each machine. When we log off and log back on the music and video folder redirect back to the server.

We know that this is a common issue. People do not want to redirect the music and video folders. Could someone please explain step by step how we can set this up. Please also include the permission that are needed on the share, where the files will redirect to.

Thanks.

I have added a code snippet just wondering if you could confirm or anyone could confirm whether this is correct.
;Configure the Windows Search. Will we use that Search Assistant?

Hi.

Thanks for the info. We are looking in to how to create custom ADM files. If you or anyone have any suggestion on how we can create the ADM quickly as possible, it will be much appreciated.

Thanks.
