I am in the process of setting up Folder Redirection and Roaming Profiles in my company, and have ran into a problem that after enabling folder redirection I can no longer move icons on the Desktop I get a Circle with a line through it next to the icon.

We are using SBS 2003, I have setup the user with a roaming profile and redirected Application Data, Desktop, Start Menu, and My Documents. This machine is Windows XP.

Please Help.

The folders are maybe set for offline synchronization and also the folder rights are probably set to ready only. Check the properties of the original folder, disable offline capabilities if possible.

It turned out I needed to add my server to the safe site list in internet options in IE.

Thanks Shawn
