Outlook tracking not updating unless I give respondant Author access to my Calendar.

Outlook tracking not updating unless I give Author access to my Calendar using Exchange.

I send a user a meeting invite, they accept, the tracking info is not updating on the calendar item.

I give them Author privs on my calendar and do the same process, the tracking is updating.

Is giving author privs to my calendar necessary for tracking to work?

Given that tracking information is initially only available to the Profile Owner, Permissions would need to be given to recipients to view this information.

Ideally, only the organizer needs to see who has accepted, declined, or not responded to a meeting request.

You could possibly try reducing the permission to Reviewer as this has less rights and yet still allows them to view the information.
