How do I remove a Virtula server from my Exchnage Environment

I am Currently Running an Exchnage 2003 Active/ACtive cluster and am migration to an active/ Pasive cluster. The problem I am having is that after I have migrated users off the Virtual server and attempted to remove the virual server it gives me this error message .
"The server "xxxxx" cannot be removed because:
- one or more users currently use a mailbox store on this server. The user must be moved on a mailbox store on a different server or be mail disabled before unistalling this server.

Facility Exchane system manager
ID No: C103f492
Exchange system Manager

I have run a queryy to see what if any mailboxes are still using the server but returned nothing. I have used ADSI edit and again nothing is using this serevr. I aslo tried using ldp.exe and ahain nothing came up as using thie server.

Initially I tried removing the server the documented way through Cluster administrator right click and remove server but the same message apperaed. Since then we have manually removed the cluster resources, the database adn all that is left is the virtual server in System Manager.

How can I remove this server from my environment?

once you have run this command open the file in a Excel and locate MSExchangeHomeServer and just do a filter and select the old server (EVS) name. This would show you all the users that have mailboxes still on the Old Cluster server.

I resolved teh issue by failing over teh node and rebooting this server. Did another search fro rogue account and found one account that still had Exchange attributes on it. Once I removed these \ was able to delete it.

Simplify Active Directory Administration

Administration of Active Directory does not have to be hard.  Too often what should be a simple task is made more difficult than it needs to be.The solution?  Hyena from SystemTools Software.  With ease-of-use as well as powerful importing and bulk updating capabilities.

cool but if you face any issue as such or anything you can run the command i gave and it would give you information about the AD object with their attributes and then you can work accordingly.

Rancy although your solution is correct this was tried before failing over teh cluster and rebooting the server. Before this was done aI had run teh samequery from teh GUI which returned nothing. Only after the server failover did this return a single result> i will accept multimple solutions for this
