how to run a visual basic program?

I know nothing about Visual Basic, but I have some programs copied.  How can I  run a visual basic program?

Hi OBill,

Could you be a little more specific?...do you have SOURCE code for some VB applications that you want to compile into working EXEs?  If so, what version visual basic were they designed for?

I don't have a source code, but I would like to write one which would backup certain files to my external hard drive every time I run it.

Ok...go install VB.Net 2008 Express.  That will let you develop and compile VB.Net applications:
