How we can make sure that the public folder replication is up-to-date for an exchange server?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

In ESM, you can see the status of replication for the public folders. I'm away from my work PC, but my memory tells me it is located:

Administrative group -> Server -> Storage Group -> Public Folders -> Replication Status

It will show you the status of the synchronization. I'm assuming you're using 2003...

In ESM you can see the size and items of the Public Folders.
Just have to make sure thatthe item count is same for the Public Folders on both the servers.

Sorry for the late response. I was travelling.

I can find the content replication status from ESM but what about the hierarchy replication status? Also please let me know if there any script or tool to find out the same?

You can try PFDAVADMIN by Microsoft, for some of that information. Free download. Useful for reporting on many facets of Public Folders, such as replicas and permissions.

Content replication would only work once hierarchy is replicated.
As hierarchy is nothing but the PF folder and the content is within them.
Best i would say is ESM as it keeps giving you info about the Size and items on each folder and also shows what amount has been moved to the other server.

PFDAVAdmin should only be used for troubleshooting as it very handy.

Thanks a lot for your response.

Going to each PF folder and verify the replication status is a tough task :-(. Do you have any script to report the public folder replication failure for multiple servers?

Thanks in advance.
