On the google toolbar, in Settings->Options->More do you have send with gmail selected? If so, this should make mailto: links open a window to compose in gmail.

First of all make sure you have Java installed, Flash player, shockwave.
You can get them all at www.adobe.com for free
I would recommend using Google Chrome browser which is really fast compared to Microsoft's Internet
Explorer. Switch to IE only when Google Chrome is not supported.

There are contacts list on gtalk some of them are online and some of them are offline.
When you click on the contacts which are online then a chat window will open, if a contact is offline then compose is open in internet explorer

Hi
Well .. this is probably redundant, but I'll ask anyway. Are you sure you've alowed popups on the Gtalk site. When mine brings up the window to send the email, allowing the popups was necessary. You could try disabling popup blocking completely. And you've probably got multiple popup blockers on your machine.
Imagine this .. you've installed the Google toolbar and it is not showing. But everything about the toolbar is active, including the popup blocker. You could disable the popup blocker in IE and uninstall the Google toolbar.
Let's see what happens.

Hi Manavsi
I have turned off the popup blocker but still I am not able to open my gmail account.
You were suggesting some other option in your last post, I am not getting where you want me to type email ID. I am attaching the screen shot of the chat window.
Please tell me where should I type the email ID.

In Internet Explorer 8, you can see which toolbars you have enabled by selecting Tools, Toolbars. If you don't see the Google Toolbar listed there, something is not installed right. If you are using another version of the Internet Explorer and can't find where you enable tootbars, let me know and we'll figure out where to check those settings.
On the question of clicking on your contacts, where are you doing that? In Gmail?
Waiting your response.
