Citrix Printer Policy Not mapping session printers

We are running Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 and have a number of Citrix Policies that are applied at logon to map printers within the users session. Within the last few weeks a number of users have been complaining that when they have logged-in they can't see any printers within their Citrix session. This problem appears to be very random as some days there are no problems with some users and at other times the problem re-appears. The printers within the policy are applied based on Group Membership and there are definately no problems with users not being in the correct group. The problem also seems to resolve itself if the user logs-out and back in again. Of course there is the ususal gritting of teeth when you ask them to do this every time the phone with the problem.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I have worked with a lot of Citrix servers and the biggest pain is printer mapping.    I found this two years ago and set it on every server and the printing issues disappear:

Best Practice for Citrix Printing Policy

Printing       Setting      Configuration
Client Printers/Auto-creation      Enabled      Auto-create all client printers
Client Printers/Legacy client printers      Enabled      Create old-style client printers
Client Printers/Printer properties retention      Enabled      Held in profile only if not saved on client
Client Printers/Print job routing      Enabled      Always connect indirectly as a client printer
Client Printers/Turn off client printer mapping      Not Configured
Drivers/Native printer driver auto-install      Enabled      Do not automatically install drivers
Drivers/Universal driver      Enabled      Use universal driver only if requested driver is unavailable

Depending on the # of servers this could be a problem with one of the servers and uses get directed to it at random. Check the auto-creation process on all servers.

I was setup this policy and apply it to the entire farm.

There are two servers in the farm. The strange thing about this is that up until now we have never had this problem. As far as I can see it has only appeared within the last few weeks.
The problem is affecting both client-mapped printers and printers that are assigned to the users through a citrix policy.
HigalvAuthor Commented:
Have setup most of the policy settings as suggested and I have not heard anyone else complaining about this problem.
