IIS Digest Authentication and Firefox

Im using IIS v6 and Firefox 3.0.10. Digest authentication doesnt work, it works fine in IE but just keeps going round in a loop in firefox. i enter the correct username and password but it clears the fields and asks me again. Ive tried adding the server name to
and network.negotaite-auth.delegation-uris
in about:config in mozilla but its still not working. can this be done? thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

try entering username with the domain (e.g: DOMAIN\username) or use plain text auth only for firefox.

For Firefox, I think you will have to enable Basic authentication and have the credentials passed in clear text.  Firefox does not CHAP encrypt the credentials so my understanding is that anonymous or Basic (in conjunction to a Windows authentication method) are the only way that it can access IIS.
