Server/Network Monitoring Solution

Hello I am looking for a piece of Server/Network Monitoring software.

Our Situation: We look after 6 Servers for 6 different companies. We need a piece of software which monitors the status of the server/network and updates to an online client - as we administer it from a remote location.

- Run on Server 2003
- Free or cheap(ish)
- Update to an Online client, so we can see the status of all 6servers from our office.

Many Thanks

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What kind of information you want exactly to monitor in that system?

Also, did you consider using *nix system as platform for monitoring system?
You might have better choice.

At least for Windows platform and OpenSource (means free) you might have a look into:

Personally I didn't implement that system as I'm using Nagios hosted on Linux platform but this one can do.

Not sure if you want to install additional agents as might be required by Hyperic... or you want to monitor everything using SNMP?

PS. By run on Windows platform you mean monitoring system or agent? I went into direction that your requirement is to have monitoring system hosted on Windows platform.
