Adobe Reader 9.1.1 install

Hi,

I was woundering how other people managed to get Adobe Reader installed on other machines,  I injected the 9.1.1 msp file into my old 9.1msi file and it will install fine on a adobe reader free machine.  But when I try to install the new 9.1.1 msi package it errors out.  What are other people doing about getting the patches out that dont cost money.

Thanks

Maybe other people don't have that error, for example. What is your question actually? if the error, then obviously you need to give much more information.

When I try and install the injected 9.1.1 msi file onto a computer with 9.1 reader on it already it gives me an error:

Another version of this product is already installed.
Installation of this version cannot continue. To
configure or remove the existing version of this product,
use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel.

That is the error I get when I try to install my injected 9.1.1 msi package ontop of my 9.1 install.

Those msi's that you are using - are they genuine from Adobe? this msp that you "injected" - where is it from, and how exactly did you "eject" ?

I downloaded the msp file from adobe's website.  the command I used was:

msiexec /a path to .msi file in network image /p path to .msp file

The origional msi file came from Adobe as well.

I will probably try myself. To make sure I'm using the same files, please give filenames of the original msi and of the msp.

I edited the new .msi package in the adobe customization wizard.  I edited it how it told me to on the website, I then used the script at the bottom of the page to have the computer check if an update is needed and if need it pulled the new .msi package from a network shared and installed.  It worked very smooth.
