After adding ram internet stops
XP computer. I have replaced 512 ram with 2 g on an hp wwindows xp sp3. From the little I have been able to learn, this has somehow screwedup the registry. I have used regcure , but no help.

Thanks, I replaced the 2 ram strips in the xp computer which speededup most operations. But I could not connect to Internet Explorer. I took the ram cards out and put them into another zp computer. Same thing happened, no internet. Internet was ok on both computers prior to adding the 2 g ram. I checked Google, and that's where I discovered that the problem was most likely registry. So, I am still at a loss.
Internet Explorer is the only problem???
Have you attempted to use any other function of your PC???
When installing things like RAM i would always suggest running the latest BIOS update for your mainboard i doubt this is your issue.
Do you have your Windows XP Media???

i never heard that more ram changed the internet behavior.
there's something else loose here; possibly bad ram
check if all the ram is seen in the bios, and in Windows
you can also run memtest to verify if it's ok : www.memtest.org

Hold everything. I've taken the computer to a pro repair shop. When I find out the problem, I'll let all know.
Thanks
