Gateway laprop Mt6705 wont turn on, red light flashes 4 times

Was working fine all day, but did feel very warm.  Been off for hours and will not come on.  Battery died???  Triple checked outlets and power.

Hi,

Your laptop has either entered hardware suspend mode or your mainbaord has fried.

Remove battery and AC connection hold the power button down for 10 seconds... reconnect AC and attempt to power on.

let me know how that goes.

I tried the power disconnect and the battery removal and held down the power button.....no change.  it still will not come on and red light flashes 4 times.  It is a Gateway, which I understand is out of business.  it is 2 yrs old and I do have a 3 yr warrenty through Best Buy......but geuss Ill be out of luck.......

No if you have a warranty agreement. under trade practises act they are Obligated by law to provide you service and support.

Take it back to the place you have purchased it from. If the power cycle hasn't worked than it is going to need a mainboard replacement.
