RS-422 (mac serial) port on a PC (not USB to serial) with external clocking possible?

Is anything available that can provide a RS-422 (mac serial port) connection on a PC, other than via a USB-RS-422 adapter? I am trying to use a mac OS9 emulator (http://sheepshaver.cebix.net/) on a XP Pro PC to communicate with this device: http://matrixsynth.blogspot.com/2008/07/opcode-studio-5-lx.html . The emulator cannot support USB. The device uses OS9 only software and needs external clocking.
TIA

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Callandor, Thanks for your response. Quatech hasn't gotten back to me yet about whether the devices support external clocking.

You might want to give them a phone call - people generally respond faster to live conversations.

Thanks Callandor. Quatech replies: "I checked with Engineering and you can use the SSCLP-200/300 and it will support it (external clocking) on the AUX Pairs and it will be RS-485, not TTL in full-duplex mode only."
