Username recovery for Cisco 3750

Hi there,

It appears that I have configured a username by typing in "login local" on a 3750. Don't know what it is because I never typed a username in.  Unfortunately now I can't log into the 3750 stack? I've tried the password recovery procedures from Cisco but I can't get through the username? Any ideas?

there are 2 different password recovery procedures, did you try this one:

Once you get in you'll need to disable login local or create a login database.

It's ok. I've figured it out. Because there are 4 x 3750 configured as a stack, even if I deleted the private-config.text AND the config.text, it was grabbing it from the other switches. I had to isolate the master switch, do the password recovery procedure, then reconnect the stack. It then propagated to the other switches.

Thanks for your response!
