Cannot rename new folder, access denied in my own server share

Logon to server, go to my personal server share and cannot rename new folder, access denied in my own server share. Go to another laptop and logon server with same user account and have no issues renaming folders in my persoanl server share.
Any help would be appreciated. Could it be a corrupted user profile on my laptop.
If so what would you suggest.

Are both PC's Domain Computers?  Look into how the drives are mapped.  Would it be possible that the one that will not allow you to change is being controlled by group policy somehow.

Hi.. thanks  All pc's in the office are all single domain computers that log into the same server. Each user has their own  user folder on the server. I can use my laptop or anyone else's computerand log in as this user who is having an issue access his user folder and add, delete and rename folders.

If I use his laptop and login in as him when he tries to create a new folder it won't allow him to give it a name. It will create new folder (..). Then you cannot rename it but you can delete it.
You get error renaming file or folder. Cannot rename new folder.. access denied.

As I said no issues if he uses some other comput. I did remove his laptop from the domain and re-added which did not help.
I will check his mappings and group policy. This is a pretty simple  network.
Thanks
Chris

When you remove the laptop from the domain, did you also delete the reference for the Laptop in the domain.

Try running the latest service pack for Windows.

it almost sounds like that account ("If I use his laptop and login in as him ") Has only write/create rights and not modify right.
Depending on how he maps ot the location... is this a  specific share or default (D$) mapping?
What are his share and NTFS permission for that account to that location?

You may consider using netdom to reset the computer password.

I am really stumped on this issue. Again I removed user him from the domain on his laptop and also remove his computer from the domain. Then re-add computer to domain and reboot his laptop. Then re-add laptop to the domain. Each user has their own user share on the server. They access their share through a network place. When this user adds a new folder to his share it is created but he cannot change the name of the default New Folder name. He can log off of his laptop and go to anyother laptop on the newtwork, log in as him and access his share and no issues creating or renaming new folders.
Any more suggestions would help.
Thanks
Chris

This is strange.  Have you run a Malwarebytes scan, Try running that scan twice, then run sfc /scannow from the start run window to get the windows services back to the beginning installation.

Don't think I have run Malwarebytes on this system and have on others and I think it is a great package.
Interesting comment on sfc/scannow.
Will do and thanks.

Having the same problem on a Dell D630 Laptop.  Removed/Added from domain with no luck.  Re-created network security manually, recreated home directory with the %username%, still no luck.  Tried another computer and it works normal.

Did you find a resolution?

Found our problem. Lunda construction suggested we run sfc/scannow. Well it didn't really help with the exception that we noticed the names of services that were being updated.
We googled our  problem and came up with this item.
Just curious. Do you have the program Embassy trust suite by wave systems installed on the user's PC? Because a process called WavXdocmgr.exe which is part of the Embassy trust suite from WaveCorp can cause such problems. This was one of the program names that we saw while running SFC. We have no idea how this app got on the laptop but once removed the problem completely went away. Thaks to everyone woho tried to help and I hope this solves other similar problems.
