Oracle process running out of OS kernel I/O resources

I am getting following error in alert log.

OS: HP-UX B.11.23 U ia64
WARNING:Oracle process running out of OS kernel I/O resources

Did you verify that all kernel parameters were set according to the Oracle Install guide "pre-install" steps, specifically the the section under Kernel Parameters? It is likely there is a misconfiguration.

No need to do that, just verify that you have installed Oracle properly, according to the Prerequisites in the documentation that I included above. Oracle's documentation tells you with parameters to set. The most common cause is you have missed a parameter according to the documentation.
