Email Marketing Provider

I need to provide email marketing to my clients but I do not want them to have to go off-site to another service, nor do I want to have to create hundreds of accounts on a remote service.

Ideally the email-marketing provider would have two parts to their solution.

1. They deliver all emails and provide stats and auto-responder services by way an api
2. They provide a client interface that I can host on my own server, that allows me to give clients an interface where they can manage their own lists and create templates etc...

Are there any email-marketing companies out there that do this and if so what are the rough costs? Are we talking a few hundred bucks a year or are we talking thousands?

My company use a system provided by emailvision called campaigncommander. Have a look at campaigncommander.com

Our marketing department love it because of all the stats it gives them about our marketing campaigns.

I don't know much more about it to be honest as I was only overseeing the techy side but we looked at a few solutions and this fitted us best.

In appears most likely that we'll be using cake mail (http://www.cakemail.com/) as they seem to do everything we want.  Granted it will cost us $150 a month, but that still beats creating and maintaining our own email marketing software
