Is there anybody knows how can I take back the schema master role from a server 2008 after it was died?<br />

The scenario:<br />

There is an SBS2003 server, that I need to migrate to a virtual machine with Server 2008 and Exchange 2007. Before installing EX2007 I have to transfer the schema master role from SBS2003. It has just happened, but meanwhile the virtual machine has died and I need to take back the schema master role from it.<br />

It has just happened, but meanwhile the virtual machine has died and I need to take back the schema master role from it.

Manually transferring Schema Master role back to original server

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).
