Im looking to send a campaign on behalf of a client however my customer is unable to setup SPF records, as such im looking to setup SenderId.
I know this mean that I have to setup an additional X-header called a "sender header" into your mail. And im doing so on the basis that the Sender ID protocol actually tells the recipient to authenticate the domain found in the PRA (purported responsible address) not specifically the "FROM:" address. If a SENDER header is present, the protocol tells the receiver to use the SENDER header as the PRA instead of the "FROM:" line.
However how do I do this? Im generating the mail via asp.net, so what should this looklike? i.e. Basically Im a complete novice on this so Id appreciate a full idiots guide if thats ok, explaining exactly how I set this up, and if there are any implmications from a domain perspective along with if I have setup the from / reply to in a special way?
