"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The only risk is that you delete something you didnt mean to and the laptop might not function quite like it should, but no other risk.

There is also an additional function if you cannot find a file you need to not display protected operating files under the same area ... tools/folder options/ and then view tab.

next to display hidden files , there is an option to display protected operating files. This is allong the same lines , the folders that are hidden will appear ghosted.
