How to enable the Revision/Protect tab in Word 2007?

I have a Word 2007 document that I protected with a password and published as Final.  I now want to update this document.  But, I can't unprotect it because the Review/Protect tab is disabled.  How do I enable it?

Yes, I want to unprotect it so that I can change it and then password protect it again.

hi carlkelley,

After published as Final a document in word 2007 and  latter if you want to change something in that document , first you open the document , then go to Office button, then click it, then go to prepare , click it , after that click on Markas Final. Then you will be able to modify the document. After that save the document.

if you find any difficulties , post comment.

Thanks.

hi carlkelley,

This is the simplest way to update the document, if you " mark as Final".

My question why you want to unprotect the document ??

post your comment, if you not able to solve your problem?

I thought that, since the document had already been marked as final, that clicking marking as final was irrelevant.  Thank you for your insight.
