Hi
after I restart the CA agent service in the SQL server. Able to backup some of the SQL satabse now. But still encounter the same error for 1-2 database.

The current Max VDI wait time is set as "9000000", do i need to change to what value?

Thanks for the help.

The errors encountered on arcserve are similiar to the following:
E8604 Failed to start backup. (DBNAME=xxx, EC=xxx:[SQL Server] szSqlState = 08S01,fNativeError = 0, errMsg = [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Communication link failure)

Btw, the backup host is on a server using arcserve R12 whereas the sql server being backup is on another server installed with the arcserve sql agent.

Is the a need to restart the sql server or sql services? or restart the backup host server?
