"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

trouble is that the format is different.

5 VCD's = 5 * 80 minutes = 400 Mins.
1 DVD = 1 * 60 Minutes = 60 Mins.

So really, it needs to be converted first...

Not sure your DVD player will recognise VCD format on DVD, one of mine does, but the others dont.

So, depending on how you wanted to convert it, it would take quite some preprocessing to get in on.

Also, what kind of DVD is it? Double sided, double density...

Could you work with DivX or xvid formatted DVD's?
Some players support this and autogk would be my suggestion.
Then you would have five different movies on one disk with menu..
however since 700MB * 5  goes into 4.7Gig, you may be able to drag drop them onto a DVD and just play. It really depends if you DVD players support VCD format, and multiple files per DVD....
