"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Use the publish feature. There are a few things to get familiar with but it's really good for deploying to remote sites via the internet.

If I am being too obvious forgive me but publishing your application in vb 2008 creates a full installation package based on your references and will install the .net package for the end user. It manages versions so you can publish and users can be automatically updated as required.
I heard "OCX files".  Are you trying to create and distribute COM visible .NET files?  If so, are you looking for a way to register them automatically?  If so, I have a nice 5 line snippet you can include with each library and they will self register.  Much easier than regasm.

But if you're just trying to package up 3rd part OCX files with your stand alone application, then I believe computerdoctorservice's answer is correct.
